Discipleship
Discipleship
The Bible teaches that God means for us to be transformed into the image, or character of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:29). That is, we are called to follow Him in our lives, and become more like Him.
Discipleship Defined
Explorer - someone who is investigating the bible and/or the claims of Christ, perhaps attending church, but has not yet necessarily taken the step of faith to trust Christ for salvation
to Beginner - has trusted Christ for salvation, and is now learning to pray, to interact with Scripture, to share their faith, and find their place in God’s kingdom
to Follower - a follower depends on Christ and His word daily (or often) for guidance. A follower is characterized by a growing understanding of giftedness, stewardship, community, Scripture, and service in the Body of Christ.
to Multiplier - someone who is centered in Christ, has left their own life behind, and is committed to living the life of Christ in their world. They have a well-developed sense of their place in the Kingdom of God, and are used regularly by Him as a channel of His love and truth.

What is discipleship about?
Where a person is in the process is determined by a person’s core beliefs about themselves, God, the world, other people, etc.
What moves people along in the process is relationships - with God, and with others
